Why Brick + Ivory Is Columbus's Only Private Bridal Studio (And Why That Matters for Your Dress Search)
If you've started Googling "bridal shops near me" or "wedding dresses Columbus Ohio," you've probably noticed most results point you toward the same handful of larger bridal salons — the kind with a dozen brides trying on gowns in a shared fitting area, sales consultants juggling three appointments at once, and racks of the same three or four national designer lines you'll find in every other city in the country.
Brick + Ivory is not that shop.
We're Columbus's only private bridal studio — meaning your appointment is the only appointment happening in our space while you're here. No shared spaces. No overlapping brides. No rushing you out the door for the next booking. And we're proud to be the exclusive Columbus and Ohio retailer for every designer we carry, which means the gowns you find here, you genuinely cannot find anywhere else in the city and some the whole state.
If you're a bride in Columbus, Bexley, Dublin, Upper Arlington, Grandview Heights, New Albany, or anywhere in Central Ohio starting your wedding dress search, here's what makes the private studio experience different — and how to know if it's the right fit for you.
What "Private Bridal Studio" Actually Means
A lot of bridal shops use words like "boutique" or "intimate" in their marketing, but if you look at their appointment books, they're often running two or three brides through the store at the same time. That's not a knock on those shops — it's just a different business model, and it works for a lot of brides.
At Brick + Ivory, when you book an appointment, the entire studio is yours. That means:
One bride, one stylist, zero distractions. You won't be sharing a mirror, dresses, or your stylist's attention with another party.
No overheard opinions from strangers' entourages. Your reactions, your tears, your "this is the one" moment — it's just your people in the room.
For brides who've had (or heard about) the overwhelming, crowded experience at larger salons, this is usually the single biggest reason they choose Brick + Ivory.
The Only Place in Columbus to Find These Designers
Being a private studio is about the experience. Being the exclusive Columbus retailer for our designers is about the product — and it's the reason brides drive in from all over Central Ohio, not just our immediate neighborhood.
We are the only bridal shop in Columbus, and the only shop in Ohio, carrying:
KYHA — modern, romantic silhouettes with architectural detail
Sarah Seven — effortless, editorial gowns for the bride who wants something unexpected
Lihi Hod — European-made gowns with intricate lace and beading
Alyssa Kristin — designed and created in Chicago with an emphasis on an incredible fit
Suzanne Neville — dramatic, couture-level British bridal design
If you've fallen in love with any of these designers on Pinterest, Instagram, or a wedding blog, Brick + Ivory is your only local option to try them on. No other Columbus bridal shop carries them.
(I will link each designer name to its dedicated designer page once published.)
Is Brick + Ivory the Right Bridal Shop for You?
Brick + Ivory is a luxury bridal studio, and we want to make sure everyone knows all the things before they come in.
Our gowns start at $3,500, with the majority of our collection falling between $4,500 and $8,500, and our most couture, hand-embellished pieces reaching up to $14,000. If you're looking for a wedding dress under $2,000, there are wonderful Columbus bridal shops better suited to that budget, and we'd genuinely rather point you there than have you fall in love with something outside your range.
But if you're a bride who:
Wants a dress no one else at your wedding will have seen before
Values a calm, private, one-on-one shopping experience over a crowded salon floor
Is investing in a gown as a piece of couture, not just an outfit for one day
Has a budget in the $3,500–$14,000 range
...then Brick + Ivory should be on your list of Columbus bridal shops to visit, even if you're coming from Dublin, New Albany, Upper Arlington, or anywhere else in Central Ohio. Most of our brides don't live within walking distance of the studio — they come because we're the only place carrying the gowns they want to see.
Booking Your Private Appointment
Because every appointment is a private, one-on-one studio booking, our calendar fills up faster than a typical bridal salon's. If you're beginning your wedding dress search and want to see KYHA, Sarah Seven, Lihi Hod, or Suzanne Neville in person — with the entire studio reserved just for you — we'd love to have you in.
